The Pyrennees - Costa Brava - Barcelona Ahhhhh You don't want to miss this! Day 1 - Arrival in Barcelona 1-2 days before. Pick up on the 27th at 9:00 at point TBD. Our Driver Enric will transfer us to our Welcome party in Sant Julia at Casa de Gemma. After an exquisite experience we transfer further north to our Host Hotel Can Xiquet. A welcome short hike and 90 min Yoga Celebration on the stunning grounds kicks off this incredible week. Day 2- 7:30 Early Riser Yoga pre breakfast Hotel Can Xiquet..is a charming, elegant hotel which is wonderfully situated with marvellous views of the Alt Empordà and is a stone's throw from the best beaches on the Costa Brava. Requesens Castle Hike 10am - 13km / 426m⬆︎426⬇︎ - 4 hrs The Requesens Castle was completely rebuilt in the 19th century? Although the castle is originally from the 11th century and remained inhabited until the 16th century, it was thereafter abandoned and in the 19th century there were only some walls. The castle was rebuilt between 1893 and 1899 by the counts of Peralada, its owners, to turn it into a summer residence and following the criteria of Neomedieval buildings and the modernist influences of the time. There is a cafe inside for a little lunch. After our return to our hotel mid afternoon..we have a chill out time. Yoga Yin and Tonic begins at 5pm. A fabulous dinner celebration to reflect on this whole adventure. 13km / 426m⬆︎426⬇︎ - 4 - 4.5 hours Later afternoon is a 90 min SPECIAL Yoga Core Power 45/ Nidra and Meditation 45...The Best of the Best...Perhaps in your open, free, chilled out state..you may want to indulge in our Wine Tasting pre Dinner.. Day 3 - 7:30 JONQUERA HIKE Fusion Flow with Barb before breakfast Hotel Can Xiquet... Hike to Jonquera - Catalonian Lunch and hike back through the Dolmen sites - This is a perfect rolling hike suitable for all. Last section all flat. 16km/ 500m⬆︎/ 5 hours Day 4 - CADAQUES DAY! Ahhhh waking up in the country side ..sitting with a Cortado in hand on your terrace. .Enjoy a fully loaded first Buffet Breakfast near the Costa Brava. At 9:00 we transfer to Cadeques and our Hotel Playa Sol. Cadaques is a beautiful white washed fishing village and is known as the Pearl of Costa Brava and I can't wait to show you this hidden GEM. At 11:30am we start our 1 hour walk around Town Tour ..Then in the afternoon is the LIGHTHOUSE HIKE which after 40min takes us to a hidden cove right on the beach where we can pull out our Yoga mats...YES!..Then we hike further to our Lighthouse end point and our Cadaques welcome party! Hike back to Cadeques ... 200m ⬆︎and 8km * with all your shopping around ..you might do 5km more (with Yoga Break) DINNER not included Day 5 - 1/2 Kayak Day and Celebration 9:30 Kayak Day pick up with Lunch on a Fisherman Cove Meet Pau and his Kayaks near House of Dali - PAU is the BEST and a master ...is a world of info on this area! Get ready for a sweet party on the water! He will be escorting us through the Cap de Creus... We paddle and we paddle also stop for snorkelling and yoga .in the early. afternoon we have a lunch party on a cove - The Pirates of Cap de Creus will be combing the seas for our surprise dinner. Now this is ONE WOWSER OF A DAY - Dinner can cater to food preferences Day 6- CADAQUES FREE DAY! Shop, Eat Tapas, Drink Cortados, Hike, Visit Dali Museum in Figueres or Dali House in Portlligat or just relax on your own spot in a Beach Cove Day 7 - CAP DE CREUS National Park Hike What a stunning hike with rocky ups and downs near the Sea. Most of this hike is in the actual National Park of Cap de Creus..its beauty will mesmerise you. It is an 8km Hike to the Lighthouse with a perfect stop to eat or you may want do an extra rocky 2km of hiking near the water. Option to take the Bus back or hike with the group. Afternoon Yoga at the Hotel 16km/ 450m⬆︎/ 5 hours Day 8 - GIRONA DAY!!! Breakfast at 8:00 and pick up at 9:00am to GIRONA - 1 hour drive It is a 4 hour stop in this fascinating town - With a number of sights to check off...including the 2km Roman Wall, a top notch Coffee house, Cathedral, Eiffel Bridge and much more... Transfer to Barcelona to Hotel Day 9 Oct 1st MONTSERRAT TOUR - With Karrie as your guide + Masia Farm Visit and Lunch Train to Monistrol de Montserrat ( you cover your own Train) 3 Options 1) Hike from Monistrol Town to Montserrat Monastery + to Sant Jeroni 1246m and all the way back down 16km/ 1100m/ 6 hours 2) Cable car or Train to Monastery - Hike to Sant Jeroni and back- cable car or train back to Monistrol 8km/ 600m / 3 hours 3) Cable Car or train to Monastery - Return to Monistrol on own timing and back to Barcelona by train OPTIONAL EXCITING ADD ONS! Typically people go for drinks between 6 and 9pm...and eat their dinner between 8:30 and 1030pm...that is pretty normal for Spanish people So a lot of places don’t open for dinners until later... Barcelona is a booming high vibe city with so much to offer. You could arrive a couple days before and stay a few days after and still not capture it all. The real touristy spots like Sagrada Familia and all of the Gaudi Sites, Gracia, and perhaps the Montserrat Monastery, you can do before our after our trip. The history here and parts of the Roman Wall all still around us...will blow your mind. We have a big taste of the History plus off the beaten path spots on our Bonus Bike Tour for the last day! So I would arrive early or stay later to catch the whole vibe of the city.
