SWISS EIGER DELUXE This is what Tim had to say about this Swiss Adventure! Tim Bender, Cambridge, ON 'All too often the so called "trip of a lifetime" fails to live up to the hype. Not so with our Tirol trail running adventure. Even when Mother Nature threw a snowy curveball at us Karrie worked her magic reworking the route and getting into fantastic alms when we would have floundered on our own. I was lucky enough to extend my stay with a 6 day hike filled with more amazing places. Overall best trip ever! I've fallen in love with Austria and look forward to returning to tackle the high trail some time in the not too distant future. Mark Muschett, Peterborough, ON |
Livin' Adventure' Austria trip with Karrie Gregson was literally 'over the top' !! A trip like nothing I have experienced before; boutique style, very personalized from the day to day agenda, to the food, accommodations and the sherpa's (Karrie and Simone), absolutely extraordinaire!!! I loved it all: the adrenaline rush, trepidation, laughter, camaraderie, cultural experience, the mental and physical challenges on some of our routes, but mostly the extreme sense of accomplishment and relief once on the peaks (11,000 ft+). Breathtaking, heaven on earth!! An adventure of a lifetime!! I look forward to joining you again Karrie for another extraordinary trip.

"The closest I will get to heaven ... I did not want to come home. But I did and I brought heaven back with me. A must for those who are seeking a life changing experience!"

Hi aunt Bessie!! I hope I can visit the mountains with you again soon!!! The mountains are my favourite place in the world and it makes me feel like all the troubles in the world are blowing away in the wind, the beauty of it all makes me breathless, and when I'm in the mountains, I feel like I'm where I truly belong. Even the air seems magical, and the thrill of touching the clouds makes mountains extra special.

An up close, high energy personalized introduction to the Austrian Alps. An awesome 10 day fitness adventure that immerses you in the Austrian culture throuigh food, people and life style combined with stunning mountain scenery on amazing mountain trails. The,instruction , accommodation food and organization of the adventure was top notch.
The best part about the mountain hiking is running back down as fast as you can.

Alpine Adventure at its best!
If you like mountain air, a good cardio workout (where you can feel your heart beating in your chest) and local Austrian food, people, sights and sounds then this trip is for you. This was my first trip to Europe and what a trip it was! It was challenging and rewarding.
Karrie was very familiar with the many hikes we did and boy did she keep us moving. If she says you are going for a walk, guarantee it will involve going uphill !! We travelled to different towns by efficient Austrian trains and then we were on foot to our guesthouses (guesthaus), friendly Austrian hosts and abundant Austrian food (sometimes Greek!) The hiking was amazing; everything from soft ground, gravel, to rocky shale and seemingly endless ups and downs.
The alpine huts up in the clouds and the glaciers were our reward for a long hike up the Austrian mountains! What a unique experience! I highly recommend it.

Sometimes, standing dripping wet on a mountainside from the rain, we remember it like today.
Of where we all stood looking, and felt our bonds of humanity with nature become so deeply engraved into us, that all there was to do ......................was smile back.
And together, we laughed.
You want to "Live Life", come to Austria and climb the Adventure!
Why Not??? There is no "RIGHTor WRONG" ......... just exploring.......
Life is a continuous adventure and if it gives you goose bumps just thinking about it, then just imagine what coming here and experiencing will feel like, and the adventures that will unfold!
I know ............................... and l am STILL experiencing it "A Thousand Times Over"!!!
Paul Lippert, Waterloo
This is what Paul wrote when he returned home....
Good morning, All!
Yes, it's really me.
I still can't fully fathom or imagine how or what this Austrian Adventure (I believe more like a Tsunami) has inspired in me. I am overjoyed in being able to have "taken a picture or two" of this experience for us, because I would not believe for one second that I would have or could have survived this without you Karrie and Harry and Mike and Steve and Simone and Annika. Steve, you have said from your heart what ALL of us have felt and received from our encounter together through Karrie's gathering of us lost souls. We really were't lost guys, just misdirected a little. And, I for one, feel blessed in knowing some of the most kind and unselfish people I would ever have wanted to be with. Because, without you, I truly believe my horizons I attained would not have been possible - you ALL gave ME the courage, the time and the space, to take back myself - a person I loved and lost so many years ago - I am so truly grateful. My heart pours out and my eyes well, while I write this, because .............
I have finally come home.

What can you do in 5 days?
If you’re on a tour with Karrie Gregson....LOTS!!
The adventure started as soon as she picked me up and didn’t end until the airport
drop off. We indulged in culture, food, wine, hiking, touring....awesome dancing,
shopping and meeting the locals. If you are looking for adventure, fun and being
totally immersed in something different.....I advise you let Karrie take you on a magical tour.
Karrie, you are such an amazing person and the route that you chose for this tour had incredible views, of which I'll never forget. It was challenging on some days, but only in a good way. Once we made it to the top it made the climb all worth while. I enjoyed every second of my journey.
We talked about the amazing dynamic of the group but you are the leader who made it fun as well as challenging. I loved the challenge though :) I will remember the smiles, the laughs and the most incredible views during the hikes and at the top. Sometimes you felt like you were on top of the world! I feel very thankful to have had this time spent with you and there will be memories I will cherish for a lifetime. Until next time my 'Rockstar Hiking' guides! XOXO

I have to tell you that I was quite depressed for about 3 weeks after we came home lol BRUTAL RIGHT??? I missed Austria & Bolsano, the way of living, the no stress, the BEAUTY, the food & YOU & what u do!!! Not trying to be negative but I was in major withdrawal I guess lol
And I've been telling EVERYONE I know about our experience! K here it goes:
I cannot say ENOUGH about Karrie & our GREATEST Livin Adventure Experience EVER!!! We were so EXCITED about going on this trip BUT couldn't have even begun to imagine or know how AMAZING this trip that Karrie goes ABOVE & BEYOND to plan & organize would be!!! Karrie spared no extra expense or time to take the BEST care of all of us in her group, she is a wonderful, caring, loving, positive beautiful soul!!! Our whole hiking experience Karrie had faith in all of us & encouraged & supported us to do our final hike & join in with SO many others in the race that was happening! It was a race or hike like I couldn't have, once again, ever imagined, not that it was long but it was STEEP, it was hot out which I love, it was bumpy, rocky & even snow! As I write this I don't even think I can begin to help you visualize this hike BUT seeing Karrie & my fellow hiking buddies at the end of it made my last hiking experience out of this world!!! Thanks for the WHOLE trip experience Karrie, it couldn't have been done without you nor would it be possible! I miss you & the AUSTRIA ALPS everyday!!!
p.s. I tried my best to keep it short but I honestly can't say enough about how WONDERFUL YOU are & with what YOU DO!!!
oxoxox Tash
Thank you Karrie,
I am so happy I crossed paths with you at Oktoberfest last year and could come on this experience.
This past 10 days were truly amazing! The beauty of the mountains and people of Rietz were inspiring. They made me take many moments to pause and reflect on the important things in life - Family, friends, new friends, patience, giving to strangers to make them smile, and taking everyday experiences as they come and just "going with it" without expectation.
It was also so wonderful how our group came together so quickly and so closely with a common thread with which to relate tieing us together. I know we will keep in touch after this trip :)
I came on this trip for "me"; to escape a little, for some self discovery, for a new challenge, to find some motivation... to live! I certainly found all of those things. But I found much more I think. I found my smile and my laugh more frequently than I often do.
I somewhat in jest said, "I am trying hard to become more immature".
Hopefully, it made sense what I really meant. I want to live with the passion of a child for the little things in life that make it worth living. Its not about being younger, its about finding your spirit again after events in life drain your energy and make you doubt yourself. You (especially) and everyone that was a part of this trip certainly fueled my spirit!
If future groups you introduce to the Livin Adventure experience get just a fraction of what I did out of this, they will count themselves blessed.
I'm sitting on the plane right now just trying to collect my thoughts and relive some of the moments. I'm a little in aww and wondering what do I want to do next...actually its more what AM I GOING TO DO NEXT !?!? With a big smile. Dis is Bullshit I have no one to talk to about our trip and no one shoving Jagger Bombs down my throat!!!! Lol!!!

The trip to Austria with Karrie was nothing short of amazing!
Doing the challenging yet thrilling hikes up into the mountains under Karrie's easy going, yet extremely knowledgable, guidance filled up my soul.
It inspired me and made me connect back with myself and what's important in life.
The authentic athmosphere of the tyrolean villages and local people brought joy and energy to the whole group. Travelling in a smaller group made us all bond, and I have formed unexpected friendships for life. We laughed our way up and down those mountains!
The unexpected bonus of this trip is the effect of not being in charge of a single detail! Karrie took care of everything so we could just let go and not make any decisions or worry about any details. This gave me a freedom from my daily life that had enourmous effects - left me feeling free, renewed and recharged!!
I can't wait to go back!
Thank you Karrie for bringing me a trip of a lifetime - a trip that is the beginning of a new journey!

You haven't experienced life to the fullest until you have been on one of Karrie's Livin Adventure Tours.
My boyfriend and I joined Karrie and crew this past year on her Swiss Eiger Deluxe Adventure trip. We went to the Top of Europe and back - literally :) And WOW, what a journey it was! We experienced everything from the undeniable raw mountain beauty, snow capped peaks and blue lakes, gorgeous views and dynamic skies, breathtaking sunrises and unrivaled sunsets - a terrain to leave any photographer salivating, and a place to get lost in awe, where you have winter and summer within a day, snow and ice followed by sun and fields of flowers, fog and mist and then beautiful blue skies again...
You can expect anything and everything - from witnessing a live avalanche (from a safe distance, of course :) ) to a mountain helicopter rescue, walking over a glacier, climbing over ladders all while hiking amongst peacefully grazing wild ibexes, content sheep, Swiss cows, watchful bulls, and para-gliders in the skies. If that isn't enough, one can hop on multiple scenic mountain trains, enjoy a well deserved drink at 3000 m high with a birds eye view of the mountains after a heart pumping climb... Perhaps for the first time, you breathe in the fresh alpine air and feel your heart begin to beat to the rhythm of life, immersing all your senses in what it means to be alive... Just imagine all this awesomeness condensed in one epic trip.
"To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life." - Life Magazine Motto
Life is about courage and going into the unknown - stop dreaming and start doing. Let Karrie be your guide and find out for yourself what LIFE has in store for you! Let go and let the ripple effects after such a trip not only leave you with a sense of achievement and peace in your heart but also set the stage for higher goals in your life.
Thank you, Karrie and Simone for challenging, encouraging and inspiring me to feel alive! ... While having hiked the heavens I also made life long inspirational friends along the way.

My trip to Austria was the most amazing , challenging , powerful , satisfying trip I have ever been on . From the moment I met up with the group, to the time I left, I felt an energy that can only be described as magic.
Karrie's ability to create an environment that is structured and yet at the same time seems unstructured is phenomenal, you actually feel you are living the adventure instead of just doing it.
I enjoyed every minute off it and look forward to doing it again . Outstanding !!

Reflections on a Mountain Pass ... (Livin Adventure Tour - Swiss Eiger Deluxe 2014)
A trip to the mountains can be clearly measured by how far you’ve gone and how high you’ve climbed. But this most certainly is only a small part of the story. Rather, it is often in the ebb and flow of catch moment’s along the way - that will ultimately define your journeys end.
Moments as in shared laughter and at times, tears. Moments, defined by strength to dig deep and continue along a difficult section of a trail. Finding courage to take that leap of faith, to step outside your comfort zone - only to find yourself suddenly face-to-face with your fears head-on in the here and now. Letting go and standing witness to places of such raw beauty, wonder and awe that your heart is filled with song and your soul comes alive. Profound experiences shared with strangers and likeminded travellers; who after starting out this journey together become life long friends before its end.
Moments such as these cannot help but touch you, shape you into something greater, something more. Being immersed in such epic adventures, shared stories and experiences will forever leave there mark in your memories and your heart.
Thank you Karrie & Simone for setting the stage for these magic moments to unfold. May your spirit for adventure & zest for life continue to be a beacon to us all!

This hiking tour is definitely the best and most unique way to see a country. Hiking in the some of the world's most beautiful landscapes for 10 days was truly amazing! Karrie was an absolute inspiration. Her love of the mountains and addiction to adventure was the brainchild that sparked my interest in mountain running and to enter my first mountain race in Germany. This was an experience I will remember forever.
